Shelby Ambulatory Surgery at the Physicians Center encompasses over 20,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities for providing "excellent patient outcomes." There are three operating rooms and two procedure rooms.

Urgent Care of North Alabama began operations in July 1992 to provide health care options to Calhoun County residents . Options include; same day service, treatment of acute minor illnesses and injuries, and long term care of chronic health issues. We were the first outpatient ambulatory clinic in the area.

Alabama Industrial Medicine was formed in 1994, to compliment the Urgent Care Clinic concept. As additional companies began to utilize the services of Urgent Care Clinic, AIM was asked to increase involvement.

AIM initiated an early return to work program for employees and companies. AIM initiated restricted activity for injured employees through the Indurstrial Loss Program. We sucessfully assist companies with reducing their lost time accidents. We have initiated many successful program i.e.; wellness programs, smoking cessations programs, Drug testing and distal site testing.

Urgent Care Clinic & Alabama Industrial Medicine merged into one company and the name changed to Southern Family Practice and Occupational Medicine in 2003.
